of Mr. Floods Water colour paintings in terms of their stylistic evolution.
Only those paintings for which dates have been obtained are included in
this evaluation.

This 1939 water colour is very similar in style to the 1926 water colour on it's left |

These barn forms seem to reflect the barn forms in the 1932 water colour with horse above. |
The forms are very stable much like the previous barn forms but now over layered with detailed brush drawing. |

The basic forms of the previous three paintings are in this painting less symetrical and he has begun to leave some decorative white spaces |
This painting appears to have a more formal style, but if you look closely some of the decorative white spaces are present. |

This painting has stylistic elements of 1933 above right, also very similar in style to L.H.S. Pereira an artist friend ref: painting in: tinman gallery: mezzainine |

The forms are still solid; less formal and he continues to build on his 1933 style as in the "log cabin with fence" painting above. |
